A rare 1933 Stutz DV-32 Convertible Victoria with coachwork by Rollston arriving at and leaving the 2024 San Marino Motor Classic at Lacy Park, where it won First in Class (CCCA - American Open (Full Classics Only)). This example, chassis no. DV-PC-1558, was previously part of the Harrah’s Automobile Collection and was later restored and finished in Sierra Sandstone and Antique Veridian Green, which are believed to be its original colors. It is one of two DV-32s built with this design and has received numerous awards including Second in Class at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Best in Class at 2007 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, Best of Show at 2007 Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles, and Best in Class at the 2009 Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance. This car was sold for $1,517,500 at the 2023 RM Sotheby's auction during Monterey Car Week.

The early 1930s were a time when American manufacturers and coachbuilders produced some of the most beautiful and most luxurious automobiles in the world. If you don't believe me, just take a look at this Stutz. With its generous proportions, high beltline, and steeply angled windshield, this car stands out even at an event filled with shiny pre-war American classics. Unfortunately, the DV-32 wasn't enough to help Stutz survive the Great Depression. But coachbuilt examples like this are still among the brand's most desirable cars today.

Do you think this rare Stutz is worth its $1.5 million auction price? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
