1934 Mercedes-Benz 150 Sport Roadster
A very rare 1934 Mercedes-Benz 150 Sport Roadster arriving at and leaving Cars & Coffee Irvine.
"The Mercedes-Benz 150 Sport Roadster is one of 5 roadsters produced in a series of just 11 cars (coupes and roadsters) and is the only one known to exist today. The 150 was a further development of the rear engine concept launch with model 130, however, now the engine was placed in the middle, creating what is believed to be the world's first mid-engine sports car. This car was found in a private collection and re-purchased by the Mercedes-Benz Museum, Stuttgart, Germany in 1948 in non-running condition. This car remained as a static non-running display until the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, Irvine, California performed a full mechanical restoration, bringing the car back to the road in May 2010."
