1997 Ferrari 456 GT w/ HRE Wheels, Custom Exhaust
A grey (Grigio Titanio) 1997 Ferrari 456 GT with black (Nero) interior arriving at Supercar Show OC at Lamborghini Newport Beach. This car, equipped with a gated 6-speed manual transmission, has been modified with 19-inch HRE wheels and custom Tubi-style exhaust system and X-pipe.
Many people will probably disagree with me on this, but I really like the 456. It appears more sophisticated than its predecessors but not polarizing or overly aggressive like its successors. It's a beautiful car that doesn't scream "Ferrari", but drivers can still enjoy the thrill of the coveted Ferrari V12 and, in the case of this example, a gated six-speed.
I have mixed feelings about these custom wheels. The factory wheels pair better with the car's touring-focused design, but the new wheels give the car more visual attitude, which many critics say the 456 lacks compared to other Ferraris of the time. This may not be the kind of Ferrari you take to the track, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy casual driving in style and confidence, all with a Prancing Horse logo on your steering wheel.
