2005 Maserati 4200 GT Coupé
A grey 2005 Maserati Coupé (4200 GT), one of 6,449 Coupés built, arriving at and leaving Kobeissi Properties' Cars & Coffee. Introduced at the 2002 Detroit Auto Show, the Coupé is powered by a 4.2-liter Ferrari-Maserati F136 R V8 engine producing 390 horsepower.
Many people today consider Maseratis overrated after years of the company focusing on more practical and affordable models. But here's a Maserati that's, at best, grossly underrated. This was the car that (in convertible form) re-introduced Maserati to the States. It has a Ferrari engine under the hood and all the luxury you could expect from a high-end Italian car. And it was the direct predecessor to the sexy GranTurismo, which still looks as good now as it did when it was introduced over a decade and a half ago. In a time when the only Italian car companies present in the U.S. were Ferrari and Lamborghini, Maserati made sure its product was every bit what potential buyers would expect from an Italian brand, blending high performance with premium luxury. Sure, this car may not look as sleek as the GranTurismo, and it has one of the most unoriginal names in automotive history. But it's still excellent in pretty much every way, whether it's styling, luxury, or performance. Unfortunately, it has suffered significantly more depreciation than it deserves. But for those who are lucky enough to own one or are thinking about buying one, this may be a great opportunity for a solid investment!
