Adam Carolla's Lamborghini Miura SV (w/ startup)
A rare 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV owned by comedian and radio host Adam Carolla starting up and driving into a transporter after the 2018 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance. This blue (Bleu Medio) car, chassis no. 4912, is one of 150 Miura SV's built. It has undergone a full cosmetic restoration to original specifications and has been displayed at numerous events including the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The car was sold at auction for $2,205,000 in December 2018.
When talking about supercars, most people picture something with two doors, two seats, a low and sleek body, and a big engine positioned behind the seats. Well, this is how it all started - the Lamborghini Miura. It wasn't technically the first production car to utilize this layout, but with a V12 powerplant and a Lamborghini badge, it is considered by many the world's first supercar.
This stunning blue and gold example has what I consider the best-looking color combination I've seen on a Miura. It also doesn't hurt that it's the rare and powerful SV variant and that it was owned by a celebrity with an incredible car collection. Unfortunately he decided to part with it just a few months after this event along with other Lamborghinis in his collection (did you catch a glimpse of his black 350 GT in the video?) $2 million is a huge amount for any car, but for the most desirable variant of the world's first supercar - and a particularly special and beautiful example of it - perhaps the new owner has brought home an excellent investment!
