A brand new 2023 Faraday Future FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance arriving at and leaving Cars and Coffee at Finish Line Auto Club. The FF 91 was originally introduced as a prototype at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2017 with customer deliveries planned for 2018. Production was repeatedly delayed due to financial difficulties, and the first customer car was delivered in August 2023. The production FF 91 2.0 Futurist is powered by three electric motors producing a combined 1,050 horsepower and 1,458 lb-ft of torque. The luxury crossover can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.39 seconds and has a range of 381 miles. It features numerous AI-assisted features and a luxurious interior with reclining "Zero Gravity" seats and 11 displays including a 27-inch screen for rear passengers. The ""Alliance"" launch edition is limited to 300 units and is priced (MSRP) at $309,000. This early production example is finished in Alliance Black Satin with Midnight Black interior and 22" Aero Forged Aluminum Alloy wheels.

Having waited nearly seven years for the FF 91 to go from prototype to production, one could have only assumed the worst. After all, there are countless stories of startup car companies with big dreams and ideas that never end up seeing the light of day. But hey, better late than never, right? Faraday Future certainly had its share of trouble, and the fact that it has now finally begun delivering customer cars is no guarantee that things will be smooth sailing from here. (Remember the Fisker Karma?) But this is certainly a huge milestone for the company in terms of both generating revenue and gaining (hopefully positive) publicity. And it's hard to deny that the FF 91 is pretty darn cool.

I've always liked the design of this car. It's unique and futuristic without being excessively showy, and the fancy lighting adds to its tech-focused appeal, turning an otherwise potentially bland profile into a work of art. In case you can't tell from pictures and videos, this car is humongous. It's longer and wider than a Bentley Bentayga, and most of that space belongs to the massive cabin. Many people at the event were amazed at how spacious and luxurious the interior is, including the owner of a Mercedes-Maybach GLS600.

I can't wrap my head around all the computer jargon on Faraday Future's website, but one thing I do know is that the FF 91 is unbelievably quick. Its 0-60 time is not far from that of a Bugatti Chiron. Yes, there are several electric cars that are faster. But those cars are much smaller and much lighter. To see a car this massive and this luxurious vanish so quickly into the horizon is simply mind-blowing.

Of course, let's not forget that this car costs over $300,000, putting it in the same league as many exotic supercars and ultra-luxury cars. Spending this much money on an electric crossover from a startup company may seem crazy, but you'll get one of the most technologically advanced cars on the market, not to mention one that's incredibly sexy, incredibly luxurious, incredibly fast, and incredibly cool - not something you can say about a lot of crossovers.

Now that the FF 91 is finally in production, do you think Faraday Future will succeed in the long run? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
