Something about the GT3 Touring speaks very closely to the hearts of true car enthusiasts. Yes, Porsche never ceases to crank out fancy new special editions that we love to drool over and point our cameras at. But at the end of the day, it's not about attracting attention, being rich, or having what others can't have, but rather about simply falling in love with driving a car. And the GT3 Touring offers exactly that. It doesn't have a huge wing, colorful wheels, or colorful decals. It doesn't come with a limited edition plaque. Its overall profile more closely resembles that of a base 911 than it does those of most high-end track-focused Porsches. But it does come with rear-wheel-drive, a tried-and-true naturally-aspirated engine, and, if you choose accordingly, a six-speed manual. With a starting price of under $200,000 (before absurd demand-driven markups), it may not be cheap. But it's certainly a bargain compared to more exclusive models, perfect for those who don't care for glitz and glamour but simply want to have fun driving and loving an incredible performance-focused 911.
