A rare 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut pre-production prototype arriving at and leaving "Prebble", a Pre-Monterey (Pre-Pebble Beach) gathering at Oakley headquarters presented by Ancillary Studios in collaboration with HyperSociety. This factory-owned car, dubbed "Magma", is finished in grey (Anthracite) with Tang Orange accents. On June 27, 2024, it set four world records driven by Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh at an airstrip in Örebro, Sweden, including achieving 0-400-0 km/h in 27.83 seconds. Customer deliveries of the Jesko began in June 2023 with production limited to 125 examples (including both Absolut and Attack configurations).

In the drink world, "Absolut" refers to something often seen being smuggled into college dormitories. But in the supercar world, it refers to none other than what is possibly the fastest production car money can buy. That title has yet to be officially claimed by Koenigsegg, but the company believes the Jesko Absolut is theoretically capable of reaching 330 miles per hour. And given the car's multiple existing world records, that claim may actually be more than a mere exaggeration.

The Jesko is the latest embodiment of everything we've come to love about Koenigsegg - aggressive styling, a removable targa top, a powerful boosted V8 engine, and of course, those dihedral synchro-helix doors, which themselves deserve a world record for the longest name ever given to a door mechanism. The first U.S. customer car was just delivered last month despite the car's 2019 introduction. But given that all 125 build slots were easily sold long before production began, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before more Jeskos start appearing at events like this!

Do you think the Jesko can achieve Koenigsegg's claimed theoretical top speed of 330 mph? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
