Porsche 997.2 Turbo S Cabriolet (w/ startup)
A black 2013 Porsche 911 (997.2) Turbo S Cabriolet starting up and leaving Peninsula Cars & Coffee at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, organized by the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance.
The Turbo S has always been one of the most underrated modern 911 variants. Its appearance is pretty much identical to the regular non-S Turbo, and it doesn't attract attention from enthusiasts like the more track-focused GT2 or GT3 variants. But it is often compared to and cross-shopped with exotic supercars, and it's priced in the same league as well. Today, a new (992) Turbo S Cabriolet starts at over $245,000, or over $30,000 more than a standard Turbo Cabriolet. Back in the 997 days, that price difference was closer to $23,000. Still, the extra letter on the badge cost as much as some contemporary new cars. For those who want the best balance of luxurious comfort and supercar-level performance but prefer not to attract supercar-level attention, this may just be the perfect 911.
