Rare Blue Ferrari 412 GT

A rare blue Ferrari 412 GT arriving at and leaving Canepa Cars & Coffee. Introduced in 1985 as a successor to the 400i, the 412 is powered by a 4.9-liter Colombo V12 engine producing 340 horsepower mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 3-speed automatic transmission. This example is one of 576 412s (270 GTs and 306 automatics) built between 1985 and 1989.

I've always thought the styling of the 400 and 412 was unusually conservative for a Ferrari. You can park this car among everyday '80s cars and many people probably wouldn't give a second glance. But look closely and you'll see those unmistakable Prancing Horse logos, and the license plate tells the uninformed that this car has not only a V12, but also a manual transmission. The 412 was not meant to be a track star, but it sure offers a lot of power and fun in a package that doesn't scream for attention. This is the only 412 I've ever caught on video, and I certainly hope to see more of them!

Would you add a 412 to your Ferrari collection? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
