The F8 holds a somewhat strange position in the history of Ferrari models. Rather than developing a brand new car like it has typically done every two generations, Ferrari decided instead to introduce a third iteration of the 458 Italia. Not long afterwards, it also introduced the hybrid 296, which was built alongside the F8 for a while and would eventually indirectly replace the F8. With so many new Ferrari models popping up in recent years and so much attention being directed toward hybrid technology, it seems like the F8 really didn't get as much time in the spotlight as its predecessors did.
And that's unfortunate, because despite being based on an older model, it's still an incredible car. Ferrari gave the F8 enough updates both inside and out to justifying its existence as a new model, and between the 458, 488, and F8, I personally think the F8 is the best-looking. Say what you will about red being an unoriginal color choice, but there's no denying it works great, especially in convertible form paired with a tan interior - a classic combination used on Ferrari models spanning many decades. The F8 marks the end of Ferrari's highly successful line of V8-powered mid-engined supercars, and this final-year example is certainly a fitting "Tributo".
